Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter (MOAS)
The Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter is a non-profit, 501c3 organization supported primarily through donations. The goal of the shelter is to aid the human and animal residents of Madison and Oglethorpe counties through companion animal sanctuary, adoption, education, and lost cost spays and neuters.
Mohawk & Hudson River Humane Society
The Mohawk & Hudson River Humane Society (MHRHS) is dedicated to saving animals - strays - abandoned - injured. We will not rest until we have ample "empty" space to save all animals in our care. This can be accomplished by increasing adoptions and minimizing the necessity of euthanizing animals.
The Senior Dogs Project
The Senior Dogs Project: (1) promotes the adoption of older dogs; (2) provides current information on the special care that older dogs need so that they and their human companions may fully enjoy their golden years; and (3) documents the strong, loving bonds that people have with their older dogs.
West Alabama Animal Rescue
WAAR is a non-profit tax-exempt, animal rescue and re-homing organization dedicated to the rescue of animals who have been abused, abandoned, lost, starving, those living in unbearable conditions and those facing certain euthanasia in the Metro Animal Shelter. We recieve no local, state or federal funding. Donations from our many friends and our own efforts thru fundraisers are our only source of income. Medical expenses for the animals we rescue represent 100% of every donated dollar.
